- I Wounded Eagle - GDI I
- I I
- =================================================================
-
- This is a full GDI Campaign for Command & Conquer. It consists of
- a total of fifteen missions, the same as in the original.
-
- Wounded eagle was created by Henrik Lehtinen (squirt@netti.fi),
- Ville Laakso (vlaakso@netti.fi) & Jyri Ryyppo, and released on
- the 1st of June. Wounded Eagle has a somewhat linear story, and
- uses many of the original video clips from the GDI CD.
-
-
- FILES INCLUDED:
-
- LEVELS.ZIP -ZipFile consisting of the actual levels
- EAGLE.TXT -This text file
- EAGLE.BAT -Batch file to PKUNZIP the levels
- REAGLE.BAT -Batch file to remove the levels
- MISSION.INI -Wounded Eagle briefing file
-
- If any of these files are missing, get the complete ZIP-File
- from ( http://www.netti.fi/~squirt/cc-camp/ ).
-
-
- USAGE OF THIS CAMPAIGN:
- ---=== ===---
-
- To install, simple copy all the above files to your C&C
- directory, and run EAGLE.BAT. This will PKUNZIP the level
- files into your C&C directory. That's it. To play, you
- simply start C&C, and choose to start a new GDI campaign.
- The old missions will now be replaced with Wounded Eagle
- ones. If at some point you want to play the old missions
- again, it's no problem. Simply run the batch-file REAGLE,
- and it will remove all the Wounded Eagle missions from
- the directory. As long as you don't delete any of the
- above files, you can always re-install the Wounded Eagle
- files with EAGLE, and remove them with REAGLE.
-
-
- ABOUT THE FILES:
- ---=== ===---
-
- The mission data files in LEVELS.ZIP are simply INI and
- BIN files of specific names representing the different
- missions. EAGLE.BAT uses PKUNZIP to extract these
- files from LEVELS.ZIP. If you don't have DOS PKUNZIP in
- your PATH enviromental variable.. well, unzip it
- manually or something.
-
- REAGLE simply deletes all files from the directory,
- that have a filename of a valid GDI mission.
- So, if you've used other mission packs or
- levels, using either batch could cause you to destroy
- your old levels. It's recommended that you have backups
- of all levels and mission packs you use.
-
- If you've only used the original levels, there is no
- risk that you'll lose anything valuable.
-
-
- BRIEFINGS:
- --== ==--
-
- The briefings of all these missions can be found on the
- MISSION.INI file. REAGLE deletes this, too, so that you
- can have your own briefing back. These briefings simply
- mean the short text you get when you select RESTATE in
- the options menu.
-
- It is recommended, that you read these briefings in the
- beginning of every mission, since the videos we chose
- don't always tell 100% of what to do. (why is that..?)
-
-
- THE MISSIONS:
- ---=== ===---
-
- We made all of the 15 missions with CCMAP 2.0, and have
- tested them on C&C English Version 1.18. With single
- mission sets, the best thing to do is replace them in
- the GENERAL.MIX file, but with over 15 missions, since
- we made clones of one mission to fill in the alternative
- scenarios (8EA is copied into 8EB), it would be
- hazardous to anybody's health to replace some 40 files.
- So, we use the BIN & INI files in the directory, where
- they overload the mission data in GENERAL.MIX.
-
-
- ENEMIES FROM DOWN BELOW: (BUGS)
- ---=== ===---
-
- None that's known, altough, trust me, there've been more
- than one of those. :) However, if you do encounter
- something you think is a bug, i.e. TRBINFO3 in the
- original C&C mission files, be sure to drop us an email!
-
-
- THANKS TO:
- --== ==--
-
- WestWood Studios - for the greatest Strategy Game EVER
- Andrew Griffin - for figuring out the stuff, and starting
- this (crazy) mission-building process.
- Vladan Blato - for coding MIXMAN, one program I sure
- couldn't live without
- Richard Heesbeen & - for CCMAP, another program I sure
- Jeroen Ritmeijer couldn't live without
- Han Brunger - for his excellent mission-creation manual
-
- Without all these people, this campaign would never have
- been possible. Whether that's good or bad, is left for you
- to decide. Enjoy yourself, and be sure to send FEEDBACK.
